Three Brothers IPA

Our flagship India Pale Ale (IPA) is known as Three Brothers. It’s probably an easy guess as to why. Three Brothers makeup the third generation of the Schultz family that started Texas Corners Brewing Company in 2015.

Three Brothers Dan, Andrew, and Bill Schultz cheers behind the bar at their brewpub

Bill is the oldest sibling (pictured right). His passion is farming. Growing up on the family farm (Schultz Fruitridge Farms), he knew that he had farming in his blood and feels that farming is a noble profession. He has participated in the farming way of life from a very young age. At the end of a long day, Bill enjoys taking walks on the farm with his wife, Jess and their labradoodle, Oscar. They raise a small flock of Speckled Sussex chickens to provide the entire Schultz family with eggs. Bill attends the Texas Corner’s Farmer Market on Saturdays and is involved in Farm Bureau.

Dan is the middle brother (pictured left). Farmer Dan has always had a knack for farming since he was a little boy. Now he enjoys the farming way of life with his wife, Audrey, and children Lena, Ahna and Barrett. They enjoy family time together camping, gardening, hunting and boating.

Andrew is the youngest sibling (pictured middle). Andrew is the youngest of the third generation. He and his wife Ruth run Texas Corners Brewing Company. Here they cultivate their love for quality craft food and beer by featuring a local, farm-to-table menu, including fruits and vegetables from our own family farm that Dan and Bill help grow. They love spending time as a family with their (step)-son Nolan and dog Stella by going for walks around the farm. Ruth is a KVCC grad while Andrew is an alumni of Michigan State University and is also involved on the board of the Texas Township Downtown Development Authority (DDA).

Not to be overlooked, there is also a Schultz sister, even though there isn’t a beer named for her! Robyn is one of the middle siblings and recently returned to the farm to manage the farm market. She enjoys educating our customers about Michigan Agriculture and seeing all of the smiling faces of families enjoying their time on the farm. She is a horse lover and also appreciates time spent on the farm with her two dogs, Scooter and Echo and two pygmy goats, Little and Buddy. Robyn is a graduate of Lake Erie College. To help support farming in Michigan, she is President of the Michigan Agritourism Association. We just haven’t had the opportunity to name a brew after her yet, and she is sure to remind us all the time!

Next time you’re in the brewpub in Texas Corners, be sure to grab a pint of Three Brothers IPA. It’s a well balanced, and full-bodied American IPA clocking in at 6.5% ABV. We brew it with Michigan-grown Chinook hops from MI Local Hops for prominent notes of grapefruit on the finish. Cheers!
